TaylorMade Golf launched a new R11 Irons in Nov.

TaylorMade new R11 irons will be listed in September, it is the basis birth of the original Burner 2.0 and Tour Preferred irons.

The cast iron has the light and thin face design that is similar to Burner 2.0, the saved weight of face was assigned to clubs back and clubs sole to lower center of gravity and create a higher take-off angle. Ball speed and flight distance in no way inferior to the Burner 2.0. Distance difference between each iron is about 15 yards.

TaylorMade organize low handicap players to have a test showed that: R11 and Burner 2.0 4-iron distance is almost the same; R11 6-iron distance is one yard shorter than the Burner 2.0.

Accurate weight weight cavity (and is similar to Tour Preferred irons) to ensure the rational allocation of head weight, and the consistency of the center of gravity of the entire iron. The red plug of the clubs back used these types of material:  aluminum, steel and tungsten, weight between 2.5 - 17 g, and is not adjustable. In addition, the tapered rod back designed to make a higher fault-tolerance and stability when lose hit.

Taylormade said the feel and sound of R11 is more gentle than the previous Burner 2.0, because the hitting area of R11 face and the part near the rod sole is a little thicker.

R11 short iron rod sole has a slightly prominent ridge line to control handle and the center of gravity. Medium iron and long iron ridge gradually become larger and wider, so the center of gravity is more rearward and the fault tolerance is higher.
